The proposed design cooler box is a refrigeration system with a thermoelectric cooling components and it will be powered with solar PV energy and works based on Peltier cooling principle . This system is cost effective and environmentally friendly. The main highlight of this design is an ice storage compartment that stores ice from the PV energy during high solar irradiance for used when there's no adequate solar irradiance to generate PV energy,especially at night .This minimise the used of battery for energy storage.
