Project Summary: We designed a solar-powered movable phone charging station to help improve electricity access in rural areas of the Benin Republic as it has one of the least access to electricity in sub-Saharan Africa with a huge mobile phone penetration. This design aims to tackle the issue of making numerous trips to neighbouring towns for a single charge with does not last, transportation costs/associated risks, wasted time, and poor mobile phone usage due to limited access to electricity supply. The design has the capacity of charging 30 phones at a go and also has the ability to store charge so as to be used during cloudy days, rainy days or at night. #PowerManagement
